Spring Semester 2013 Brings Changes to University of Mobile Campus

Spring Semester 2013 begins with several changes to the University of Mobile campus.

They include:

Ram Deli:
Ram Deli snack shop has been moved from the Ben May Building to the first floor of Weaver Hall, across from the Center for Adult Programs. Ram Deli opens Jan. 14 with operating hours from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays, and 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Fridays.

Ram Sign:
The Student Government Association is providing a 4x8 LED sign located at the triangle near the Ram statue. The sign will be used to communicate campus events and announcements and enhance communication with commuter students.

J.L. Bedsole Library:
The Chora Godwin Learning Center has been relocated from the first floor to the second floor former curriculum lab. The old Learning Center location will be used as a classroom for spring semester.

UMobile Spirit Shop/Bookstore:
The back wall of the UMobile Spirit Shop in Bedsole Commons in J.L. Bedsole Library was removed to allow for expansion. Once the spring book-buy rush is over, the bookstore staff will consolidate all of their operations to Bedsole Commons.

Student Fitness Center:
The fitness center has been moved temporarily to the first floor of Faulkner Hall. Students and staff will have access to the equipment in Faulkner Hall from 2 p.m. to 12 a.m. Mondays through Saturdays, and from 7 p.m. to 12 a.m. Sundays. Female University of Mobile community members may request morning access by contacting the Rez Life office at 251.442.2563.

Baseball Building:
Bricks are going up on the new locker room for the men’s baseball team.

Tennis Courts:
The back courts have been resurfaced at the Gerald L. Wallace Sr. Tennis Complex. Once the weather warms up, the front courts will be resurfaced. New wind screens have been ordered.
