A group of University of Mobile students majoring in athletic training attended the 28th annual student meeting which took place Jan. 31 - Feb. 2 in Atlanta.
Dr. William Carroll, director of the University of Mobile Athletic Training Education Program (ATEP), said the Southeast Athletic Trainers’ Association is a supplemental educational seminar that, in addition to enhancing students’ academic and professional skills, also helps them develop a social network that could be useful in their future career.
Besides taking part in two sessions that covered two topics, Foundations of Athletic Training Workshop and Competencies in Athletic Training Workshop, a group of University of Mobile students had an incredible opportunity to visit a Division I facility at Georgia Tech University.
Carroll said many graduates of the University of Mobile ATEP program continue their education in graduate programs at Division 1 schools all over the country.
