University of Mobile Academic Awards Presented at 2013 Honors Day Convocation

The University of Mobile presented academic awards to outstanding graduates of the Class of 2013 during Honors Day Convocation May 10 in Ram Hall on campus.

The university’s two top student awards, the William K. Weaver Jr. Excellence Award and the Annie Boyd Parker Weaver Excellence Award, will be announced during graduation ceremonies May 11 at the Mobile Civic Center. Approximately 370 students will receive master’s, bachelor’s and associate degrees during the Christian university’s 47th commencement ceremony, which will begin at 10 a.m.

The Honors Convocation concluded with a brunch for all graduating students. Awards presented included the President’s Scholastic Award for graduates earning perfect 4.0 grade point averages, and academic achievement awards as the outstanding graduate in each college and school.
