The University of Mobile Film and Theatre program’s monthly Guest Professional Series will feature a talk by Drew Hall, award-winning writer and director.
Hall will share his experiences and discuss the film industry with UMobile students and the public. The free seminar will be held Monday, Feb. 17 at 3 p.m. on campus in Martin Hall, Room 210.
Hall and his company, Frame29Films, have directed and produced four motion pictures: SkyHook, The Phoenix Rises, Sons of Liberty, and, most recently, Convergence with Clayne Crawford, Ethan Embry and Mykelti Williamson.
Hall’s experience in the motion media business spans advertising, television, branded web series and motion pictures. He has received numerous awards, including winner of the Best Science Fiction Film at the Barebones International Film Festival for “The Phoenix Rises,” along with honors for script writing, cinematography and title sequence at various film festivals. He was named Mod Mobilian Filmaker of 2012.
The UMobile Film & Theatre Guest Professional Series is part of the university’s film and theatre program in the Center for Performing Arts.
