The University of Mobile Art Department’s annual juried student art exhibit is on display at the Marilyn Foley Art Gallery and Farmer Art Gallery on campus. Admission is free and the exhibit is open to the public weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. through April 25.
The public is invited to a reception and awards ceremony at the Marilyn Foley Art Gallery in the May Building on Thursday, April 24 at 1 p.m.
The juror for this year’s event, Krist Lien, will award first, second, and third place awards, as well as three honorable mentions. Lien is district academic department head of visual arts at Pensacola State College.
The show features ceramics, painting, sculpture, drawing, jewelry and graphic design. Student artists are: Heath Vester, Caroline Ennis, Kelseylyn Hicks, Jade Smith, Satyn Luker, Ragan Fleming, Will Drake, Toni Robinson, Olivia Benton, Brenda Hartman, Joshua Spell, Emily Williams, Diann Zinck and Nichole Demos.
The awards include prizes from the following contributors: Wacom North America, Old Masters Maroger, Alabama Art Supply, Holbein Artist Materials, Blick Art Materials and Utrecht Art Supplies
