New York Times best-selling author and motivational speaker Andy Andrews will address college students and the general public on the theme “On Mission for God” during chapel at the University of Mobile on Wednesday, March 2.

Hailed by a New York Times writer as a “modern-day Will Rogers who has quietly become one of the most influential people in America,” Andy Andrews is an internationally known speaker and novelist whose combined works have sold millions of copies worldwide. His newest book, “The Final Summit,” will be released nationwide April 12.
He has been received at the White House and has spoken at the request of four different United States presidents. His speaking style is filled with humor, and he is in demand as a speaker by corporations, civic groups and the nation’s military.
Andrews’ best-selling book, “The Traveler's Gift: Seven Decisions that Determine Personal Success,” remained on the New York Times bestseller list for four and a half months and was translated into nearly 20 languages. His two-hour PBS special, “Andy Andrews: The Seven Decisions,” received outstanding reviews.
He is the author of numerous books, including the New York Times best-seller “The Noticer,” released in 2009 and based on his life. Andrews, of Orange Beach, Ala., lived a relatively normal life until the age of 19, when both of his parents died – his mother from cancer, his father in an automobile accident. Within a span of several years, the young man found himself homeless, sleeping occasionally under a pier on the gulf coast or in someone’s garage.
“The Noticer” blends fiction, allegory, inspiration and the true story of Andrews’ life to inspire readers to take a first step toward a major life change.
