TV Interviews Dr. Lonnie Burnett on 'Art of Politics' Exhibit & Hinson Lecture Series

Dr. Lonnie Burnett, professor of history at the University of Mobile and director of the Billy G. Hinson Lecture Series, was featured on WALA Fox10 TV's Studio 10 show March 21.

Burnett discussed several pieces of historic Civil War era documents on display through March 31 in Martin Hall Gallery at the University of Mobile. The exhibit, "The Art of Politics: Mobile's Civil War Past," is a project of the history and art departments at the university.

He also invited the public to the free Hinson Lecture featuring Dr. William J. Cooper Jr., Boyd Professor of History at Louisiana State University. Cooper will deliver a lecture titled “Jefferson Davis and the Meaning of the Civil War” on Thursday, March 31 at 7 p.m. in Moorer Auditorium on the University of Mobile campus.
