Voices of Mobile, a vocal ensemble of the University of Mobile Center for Performing Arts, is performing across the United States on a 10-state concert tour this summer.
The tour includes concerts in Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Texas.
In addition to concerts in two of the largest churches in America, Voices will be featured during Worship Week at Ridgecrest Baptist Conference Center near Asheville, N.C. on June 30.
The final concert of the tour is expected to have approximately 15,000 people in attendance, according to Dr. Roger Breland, vice president for project development and executive director of the UMobile Center for Performing Arts.
Voices of Mobile is a highly versatile, auditioned vocal ensemble of 16 singers. While Voices focuses on a cappella music, it also presents music of traditional and contemporary genres. Voices maintains a highly visible and consistent performing schedule, having performed in the White House and toured extensively throughout the southeastern United States and abroad.
