This major will help you gain valuable knowledge and experience for programming, information and database management, software applications, hardware, operating systems, networking, and systems analysis techniques. The student ACM professional organization is also an important opportunity for students to participate in projects and to make connections with industry professionals. It is our goal to provide CIS majors with professional knowledge and skills consistent with and inspired by Christian values. Scholarship and Grant Opportunities
In addition to the grants and scholarships for all students at UM, qualifying students who major in CIS are eligible in their junior and senior years for SMART grants from the federal government which currently stand at $4000 per year.
