The University of Mobile’s School of Business provides an emphasis on written and oral communication and teamwork with a focus on Biblically-based ethics using innovative teaching techniques such as case analysis and computer simulation. You will have opportunities for field trips to area businesses, internships in a variety of settings, and hands-on experience doing real-world research. The School of Business also provides opportunities for leadership roles in a variety of student clubs and organizations.

A concentration in Advertising/Public Relations requires completion of Marketing Communication, Principles of Public Relations, Principles of Advertising, Public Relations Campaigns, Organizational Communication, Direct Marketing, Internet Applications, and Electronic Media.

Concentration in Healthcare Communication

The healthcare industry is very active and is projected to continue to be a growing field, especially with the aging population and their need for services. Along with the need for medical personnel is an opportunity for communication professionals who have a specific interest and education in healthcare issues. Particularly in the healthcare field, there is a need to communicate effectively with the public and medical staff on a variety of issues from financial to medical.
