Departmental Purpose Statements:

Department of Accounting
The objective of the Accounting program is to provide students with the accounting, business, technical, and ethical knowledge needed to begin professional accounting careers as public, non-profit, or managerial accountants, or to pursue study at the graduate level.

Department of Business Administration 
To provide students with the knowledge and capability to develop successful careers in one of four key areas of business: (1) finance, (2) global business, (3) management, or (4) marketing, or to prepare students for further graduate study.  

Department of Communication
To provide students with an understanding of the basic communication processes and to prepare them for a wide range of career options where communication skills are needed.  Upon graduation, students should have mastered the skills necessary to simplify complex information, write for print and broadcast media, make effective oral presentations, and be able to research information from written, electronically-stored, and verbal sources.

Department of Computer Information Systems
To graduate students who demonstrate professional competency and commitment while incorporating Christian ethical values in the discipline. In support of the purpose, the Department provides encouragement to faculty to demonstrate continued professional development and teaching excellence as well as encouragement to faculty and students to serve the community and the discipline.
