Exercise Science includes majors in the following:
Along with minors in human performance and exercise science, church recreation is also offered.
A Student majoring in HPES may choose one of four areas of concentration in lieu of a minor. The areas of concentration are : health promotion; recreation; coaching; sports management; and, exercise physiology.
A bachelor's degree in Human Performance and Exercise Science also provides an adequate background for students wishing to pursue graduate study in the areas of sports psychology, biomechanics, and exercise physiology.
Human Performance and Exercise Science Major
In the area of HPES, you will learn to organize and administer health and recreation programs and study the general nature of personal and community health, the mechanics of human motion, and the basics of sports psychology while developing an understanding of the roles of individuals in protecting the lives and welfare of themselves and others. You may take 9 hours of electives in HPES in your particular area of interest.

Athletic Training Major
A major in Athletic Training prepares you to be eligible to sit for the National Athletic Trainers Association certification exam or pursue graduate studies.
Certified athletic trainers are employed by: |

• Private sports medicine clinics
• Physical therapy clinics
• Wellness centers
