
Supporting your Alma Mater means so much more than giving money. There are hundreds of ways to support UM. Listed below are just 35 of those, but this is only the beginning!
- Pray for the students, faculty, staff and leadership of UM.
- Keep your contact information current and send the Alumni Office all of your news.
- Attend all campus events including the Alumni Breakfast and reunions.
- Host a chapter meeting in your area or help us start one.
- Share your love for UM wherever you go and wear UM clothing.
- Alabama residents: purchase a UM tag for your car at the DMV.
- Attend soccer games.
- Provide current students with job interviews with you or your business, whether REAL job interviews, or even just MOCK ones.
- Encourage your church to host a group from the Center for Performing Arts.
- Spread good news about UM.
- Bring your family and friends to visit the campus.
- Pray for student enrollment, additional academic programs, and God’s rich blessings for UM.
- Attend baseball and softball games.
- Encourage participation among your friends and classmates to all events.
- Send the Enrollment Office names and addresses of potential students.
- Encourage your family and friends to consider UM for their college home.
- Remember UM when designing your estate plan.
- Proudly hang your UM diploma in your home or office.
- Post UM news and fundraising events in your place of business.
- Volunteer.
- Register in the Alumni Online Community and visit the UM website regularly.
- Attend basketball games.
- Support the Annual Campaign and Endowed Scholarships.
- Encourage attendance to Enrollment Preview Days.
- Notify the Development Office of your matching gift company.
- Participate in the UM Classic Golf Tournament.
- Purchase gifts from the UM bookstore.
- Make an unrestricted gift to the Annual Campaign.
- Support the UM athletics and the Ram Club.
- Plan a reunion for your class.
- Attend volleyball games.
- Help find lost alumni.
- Send your company job openings to the UM Student Success Center and encourage your company to hire UM graduates.
- Sign up for the UM News Net (the university’s email newsletter) and forward it to your friends.
- Send your ideas, questions, concerns, and kind words to the Alumni Office or the UMAA Board of Directors.
