Gulf Coast Invitational Tournament Information
Dates & Location:
The 2005 Gulf Coast Invitational in Orange Beach, Alabama will be hosted by
Spring Hill College and the
University of Mobile. The tournament will be held March 4-6 at the Orange Beach
Sportsplex. Click here for directions.

Format:
There will be four pools of four
teams each, with the top two team from each pool advancing to the Gold
Championship. The third and fourth place team from each pool will
advance to the Silver Championship. Brackets posted immediatley
following pool play. Both brackets will be single elimination/consolation.
Bracket winners
will be decided according to:
1. Record
2. Head-to-head competition
3. Run differential among teams involved in tie (max. of
eight runs in one game)
4. Run differential among all teams in pool (max. of eight
runs in one game)
5. Fewest runs allowed in pool
6. Most runs scored in pool
7. Coin toss
Seedings will
be selected according to:
1. Record
2. Head-to-head competition
3. Fewest runs allowed in
pool play
4. Most runs scored in pool
play (max. 8 per game allowed)

A.M. FRIDAY!!!
Balls will be provided. Please return all game balls to the umpires
after the game. Home team for pool play will be determined by coin
flip by the umpires. The international tie breaker will be used in
each game, beginning in the eighth inning.
