ORANGE BEACH, Ala. -- Faulkner University’s Kelly Miller and Holly Miller combined for three hits, three RBIs and a run scored to help the Eagles improve to 8-4 on the season with a 4-1 win over 7th-ranked Columbia College (4-2).

Kelly Miller got the Eagles on the board quickly in the top of the first off of a Heather Daily RBI single. Unranked Faulkner added two more runs in the top of the third and one in the fourth as they cruised to the upset win over the Cougars.

Holly Miller also did the job from the pitcher’s circle as she allowed five hits while striking out three in seven innings of work.

Faulkner will play back-to-back games as they square off against Belhaven College at 3 p.m. while Columbia will play 8 th-ranked Houston Baptist University at 5 p.m.
