ORANGE BEACH, Ala. -- After losing a 1-0 game last tonight to the University of Mobile, USAO responded today with a 1-0 win of their own against Lee University in the Gulf Coast Invitaional in Orange Beach, Alabama.

With the win, the Drovers advance to the Gold Bracket Consolation championship game where they will face North Georgia College & State University today at 1 p.m.

With two outs and nobody on in the bottom of the seventh inning Crystal Judkins drew a two-out walk. After stealing second base, Tanna Truelove immediately walked putting runners at 1st and 2nd with two outs. Dana Askins then stepped up and hit a blooper that fell just in front of the second baseman and squirted underneath her glove. Judkins came all the way around from second and beat the throw to the plate as USAO won in dramatic fashion.

Askins, who got the game-winning hit, also picked up the win on the mound. Askins went seven complete innings allowing just one hit and no earned runs while striking out four. Charli Duff picked up the hard-luck loss for Lee, who finishes the tournament with a 3-2 record.
