ORANGE BEACH, Ala. --The University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma scored nine times in the bottom of the third inning as they blasted Reinhardt College 16-1 in round one of pool play Friday afternoon at the Gulf Coast Softball Invitational in Orange Beach, Alabama.
Tanna TrueLove collected three hits in the game, drove in 2 RBI’s and scored two runs of her own while teammate Morgan Skelley went 2-for-4 from the plate with a double and 2 RBI’s in the win.
Kindra Gregory picked up the win in the five-inning shortened game, pitching all five innings, allowing one run on two hits and striking out seven.
Krista Lester picked up the loss for Reinhardt College who falls to 0-2 so far in the tournament. Reinhardt will play Spring Hill College tomorrow morning at 11 a.m. in the final game of pool play.
USAO will play again tonight at 7 p.m. when they face off against Spring Hill College
