| ORANGE BEACH, Ala. - Thomas University claimed the
Consolation Championship in the Gold Bracket at the Gulf Coast Invitational
with a 6-4 victory Sunday afternoon against North Georgia College & State
University on the final day of tournament action here in Orange Beach, Ala. Yuruby Alicart led off the third inning with a solo home run to tie the game at 2-2 and Taia Black's solo home run with one out in the top of the seventh inning gave the Night Hawks the lead for good as they held on after getting out of a bottom of the seventh inning bases loaded jam. North Georgia finishes the tournament at 3-3 while Thomas University finishes up at 4-2. -30-
