| ORANGE BEACH, Ala. - The University of Science and Arts of
Oklahoma (19-4-1) defeated Saint Gregory's University (5-3) 5-1 Sunday
afternoon in the championship game of the Silver Championship Bracket at the
Gulf Coast Invitational played in Orange Beach, Ala. Kindra Gregory improved to 8-3 on the season by pitching seven innings allowing just two hits and one run while striking out four and walking none. Kristin Kauk led the Lady Drovers offensively by hitting two home runs. Kauk led off the fifth with a shot over the wall putting USAO ahead 3-0 and came back in her next plate appearance in the sixth and hit her second consecutive stretching the lead to 5-1. Kristin Minton also chipped in with three hits in four trips to the plate including two doubles and an RBI. USAO ends their tournament run with a record of 4-2 while Saint Gregory's tournament run ends with a record of 3-3. -30-
