Mobile to host “Cystic Fibrosis Awareness Weekend”

MOBILE, Ala. -- When the University of Mobile Rams baseball team hosts Spring Hill College on Feb. 19 for a 12 p.m. doubleheader, both teams will be playing for more than just a win as the two teams combine to host the “Cystic Fibrosis Awareness Weekend.”

Head Coach Mike Jacobs and his Rams baseball team will begin a week before the game as the players will be spreading awareness throughout the campus and raising money for the cause.

The tens of thousands of children and young adults who battle this life threatening genetic disease that affects the respiratory and digestive systems have been given hope through the CF Foundation who relies heavily upon the fundraisers such as the “Great Strides” walk.

Money will be collected at that day’s doubleheader and information will be provided as to how you can help further.
