Drops Two to Loyola University
WESTWEGO,
La. -- Loyola University avenged a 19-7 loss on Friday with a doubleheader
sweep of the University of Mobile Saturday afternoon.
Justin Harris
allowed just one run on six hits with six strikeouts as Loyola won
the first game of the afternoon 3-1. Raul Santana was 3-for-4
for Mobile.
In the second
game, pitchers David Musch and Brian Sullivan combined on a six-hitter
as Loyola (8-2, 2-1) won again 3-1. J.C. Santana led the Rams
(2-11, 1-2) by going 2-for-3 from the plate.
Mobile returns
to action next weekend when the Rams host LSU-Shreveport for a three-game
series set to begin on Friday, Feb. 27 at 2 p.m. Games two and
three will be played as a doubleheader on Saturday, Feb. 28 with the
first game set to begin at Noon and the second game to follow at 2:30
p.m.
