Baseball Defeats Belhaven 7-3 In Conference Play

MOBILE, Ala. – Raul Santana belted a bases-loaded three RBI triple in the bottom of the sixth inning to help lead the University of Mobile (17-21) to a 7-3 win over Belhaven College.

Holding an early 1-0 lead UM’s John Price gave up two runs in the top of the sixth before the Rams responded with six runs in the bottom half of the inning.

Ricardo Rolle and Jud McWain each went 2-for-4 and combined for three runs scored to help lead Mobile.

John Price scattered six hits and gave up two earned runs while striking out five in 6.2 innings of work. Chris Copeland iced the win for the Rams as he gave up only two hits and one earned run in 2.1 innings pitched.

UM will finish the series with Belhaven with a double-header slated to begin Saturday at 1 p.m.
