SHREVEPORT, La. -- The University of Mobile baseball team (39-25) ended their season with a 6-4 loss to Region XIII Tournament host LSU-Shreveport on Friday afternoon in Shreveport, Louisiana.

As a result, Mobile's season ends at 39-25.  LSU-Shreveport moves on to the 7 p.m. game tonight against either Lee University or Auburn University Montgomery.

In the top of the first inning, the Pilots scored when junior designated hitter Jeremie Chabot hit a single, advanced to second on a stolen base and to third on a throwing error, then went across the plate on a single by junior right fielder Chris Frye to give LSU-Shreveport the early 1-0 lead.

Mobile tied the game in the bottom of the third, and then took the lead with two runs in the bottom of the fourth inning. LSU-Shreveport tied the game at 3-3 in the top of the sixth when senior first baseman Kyle Mace, who was replaced by pinch-runner Bryan Cooksey, and sophomore shortstop Brandon Magierowski walked, then scored on a single to left field by freshman third baseman Steffan Primeaux.
