Rams Ink Four More For 2010
MOBILE, Ala—The University of Mobile baseball team added Jefferson Davis products Ben Negus, John Sanderson and Kevin Norris to its team for the 2010 season, along with Puerto Rico native Eric Perez.
Sanderson, who played prep ball at West Florida HS, is an impressive addition to the Rams’ lineup after batting .412 with 19 doubles, 12 homers and 54 RBI for Jefferson Davis last season. The shortstop also slugged .797 and posted a .494 on-base percentage.
Negus comes to Mobile with the versatility to play every infield position but first base and offers some speed after going 13-of-14 in the stolen base department last year. The former Cottage Hill Academy standout also batted .302 with 34 runs scored.
Norris will come to Mobile as a dual-threat. The Excel High School graduate posted a .326 batting average and .407 on-base percentage, while also appearing in 11 games on the mound, picking up a 1-1 record and 1 save.
Perez will play either second base or center field for Mobile. |
