Former Ram Makes All-Star Team

MOBILE, Ala—University of Mobile baseball alum Jason Ragan has been named to the New York-Penn League All-Star Teams.

Ragan pitches for Hudson Valley, an affiliate of the Tampa Bay Devil Rays, and has racked up 5 wins with an ERA of 2.80. The righty has held opposing batters to a .224 batting average and he’s allowed only 53 hits in 64.1 innings pitched.

In Ragan’s 1st season with the Renegades in 2006, he went 4-2 with a 2.55 ERA.

Laycock is Honored

Ragan’s former teammate at Mobile, Keegan Laycock, was named to the Continental Baseball League All-Star game.

Laycock pitches for the Bay Area Toros and was selected to the Independent League’s first all star game.

The former Ram has fanned 34 batters in 33.1 innings pitched for the Toros in 18 appearances on the season.
