MOBILE, Ala-- The University of Mobile basketball teams will partake in the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference Tournament, starting this week.

The Lady Rams (19-11, 11-7) will enter the field as the #4 seed and will host #5 seeded LSU-Shreveport Wednesday, Feb. 28th for a 7:00 tipoff. The Lady Rams enter postseason play on a 3-game losing streak (the 1st such streak this year), but went 2-0 against the Lady Pilots on the season. Mobile won 66-54 on the road and then produced the same result with a 62-47 home victory.

Mobile's men (16-14, 10-8) will enter postseason play as the #5 seed and be forced to travel to William Carey for a 7:00 tip Thursday, March 1st. The Rams are on a recent hot streak, winning 3-straight games by double-digits. The Rams split with the Crusaders in the regular season, winning 79-72 at home and dropping an 84-81 overtime game on the road, even though Mobile never trailed in the second half.
