Mobile to Play Covenant in Homecoming Double-Header

MOBILE, Ala. – With both the men’s (10-4) and women’s (6-8) soccer teams enjoying recent wins, both programs will play host to Covenant College in a homecoming double-header Saturday, Oct. 25, starting at 5 p.m.

The UM women’s squad is coming off an important 3-2 win over tough regional opponent Belhaven College. Riding a three-game winning streak, they will look to extend their streak as they play their final game of the regular season.

Playing their final home game of the regular season the 18th-ranked men’s team will look to take one step closer towards a return to the national tournament where they will defend their championship.

As part of the homecoming festivities all children, 11 years of age and younger, will have an opportunity to win one of five free official UM Adidas Soccer Jerseys at the women’s halftime. In addition, dinner will be catered down at the soccer fields at a cost of $8.00 for adults and $4.00 for children. Free Krispy Kreme doughnuts and hot chocolate will also be served during the men’s game.
