Gimel Lewis

Personal: A native of Arima, Trinidad… Son of Howard and Ita Lewis… Pursuing a degree in Accounting… Played previously for head coach Christopher Jackson at St. George’s High School where as a senior he averaged 12 points, nine rebounds, two assists and five blocked shots a game in leading his team to a 15-1 record.

2002-03 (So.): Played in 28 games making 24 starts... Doubled his scoring average in one season from 5.2 to 10.6 points per game... Defensive presence inside grabbing over six rebounds a game while leading the team in blocked shots with 28… Currently ranks 1^st on the all-time blocks list in school history with 81. 

 2001-02 (Fr.): Played in all 33 games his freshman season averaging 5.2 points per game as well as 5.2 rebounds per contest... Scored a season-high 14 points vs. SUNO and grabbed a season high 10 boards against Talladega… Set a single-season record for blocked shots with 53.
