Mobile was led by Tramaine Perry who scored a total of 24 points while grabbing 11 rebounds to post yet another double-double this season.

Jacob Frasier was perfect on the night shooting 7-of-7 (2-of-2, 3 FG) from the floor to go along with 2-of-2 from the free-throw line to give him 18 points on the night.  Gimel Lewis also scored in double figures with 13 points to go along with five rebounds and four blocked shots.

LSU-Shreveport stayed close for most of the first half before Mobile opened up its biggest lead of the game at 21 points, 69-48 at the 9:43 mark of the second half.

The Pilots were led by their five starters, as each player scored in double figures.

In the first game of the night, the University of Mobile (11-6, 5-1) women’s basketball team improved to 5-1 in conference play with a convincing 70-45 victory over LSU-Shreveport.

The Pilots remained close up until halftime at 30-20, but Mobile outscored LSU-Shreveport 40-25 in the second half to take the GCAC contest.

Three pointers were abundant in each of the two games as players on both the men’s and women’s basketball teams were raising money for the fight against diabetes with every three pointer they made.

The two teams totaled 11 three pointers on the evening with donations for each three pointer going to the research of diabetes.
