UM Men Complete Season Sweep of Belhaven College with 70-62 Victory

MOBILE, Ala. -- The University of Mobile (17-7, 7-3) swept the season series with GCAC rival Belhaven College after defeating the Blazers 70-62 Monday night at home in Pharr Gymnasium. 

Gabe Feagin scored 15 points and dished out seven assists while going 11-of-12 from the free-throw line to lead the way for the Rams. 

Seluynn Palmer and Tramaine Perry each scored 11 points for Mobile who won their second game in a row after having their five-game winning streak snapped last week in New Orleans against conference leader Xavier University. 

Trailing 24-22 with just 5:21 to play in the first half, the Rams used an 11-4 run to close the first half out with a 33-28 advantage.

In the second half, the Blazers cut the Ram lead to 43-40 on a pair of free throws by Demetrius Lewis, but Tramaine Perry’s 3-point lead put Mobile ahead by six and the Rams never looked back. 

The Rams will next be in action on Thursday, Feb. 5 when the team hosts No. 18 Dillard University at 7:30 p.m.
