Rams Move Up To 3rd In NAIA National Rankings

OLATHE, Kan. -- Behind only top-ranked Southern Polytechnic University (Ga.) and Mountain State University (W. Va.), the University of Mobile Rams (22-3, 11-0) moved up to 3rd in the latest NAIA national polls released Tuesday afternoon by the national office. It is the highest ranking for the Rams this season thus far.

The Rams were 3-0 on the week including a convincing 91-66 win over cross-town rival Spring Hill College. UM also defeated Dillard University 85-77, sweeping the season series for the second year in a row, and a 78-62 win over William Carey College Saturday evening in Hattiesburg, Miss.

Four Rams are averaging double-figures with senior Tramaine Perry leading the pack with 16.4 ppg. Perry is joined by fellow seniors Gimel Lewis (11.4 ppg), Gabe Feagin (10.6) and Larry Burgess (10.0).

The GCAC leading Rams have outscored their opponents by over 20 points per contest 85.5-64.1.

The UM women have held steady at No. 15 in the polls as they are currently 18-5 overall and 9-2 in conference play. They are led by the tandem of Crystal Coston (19.2 ppg and 11.2 rpg) and Kinga Rybarczyk (16.4 ppg and 8.7 rpg).
