Rams Fall At Dillard 68-59

NEW ORLEANS, La-- The University of Mobile men's basketball team fell 68-59 at Dillard University in Gulf Coast Athletic Conference action Thursday evening.

Mobile started out conference play at 3-0, but has gone 2-8 over the last 10 conference games. The Rams (13-11, 5-8) were led by Treii Pace with 13 points. Brock Dockery added 12 and Matthew Turner chipped in 11 to help the Mobile cause.

Mobile hit only 6-of-13 from the free throw line in the opening half as the Blue Devils took a 30-27 lead into the break. In the second half, Mobile pulled ahead with a 50-45 lead at the 8 minute mark, before Dillard responded with an 11-0 run to retake the lead. From there, Mobile could get no closer than 5 points as they hit only 2-of-5 from the charity stripe in the final half.

The Rams next play Saturday, Feb. 14 at Belhaven College in a 7 pm contest. Mobile's 5-8 conference mark places the team in 8th-place in the conference standings, but several spots are within striking distance.

Belhaven is one spot ahead with a 6-7 mark, while Spring Hill and Dillard are each two games ahead with 7-6 conference records.
