Rams Fall To No. 20 Tougaloo College

JACKSON, Miss— A disastrous first half and Jermaine Hodges' big night sent the Tougaloo College Bulldogs over the University of Mobile men's basketball team 66-50 in Gulf Coast Athletic Conference action Thursday.

Hodges led the GCAC-leading Bulldogs with 35 points while hitting 6-of-10 from behind the three-point line. Mobile (14-14, 6-11) was led by 12 points from Carlos Hughes and an 11-point, 7-rebound effort from Matthew Turner.

Tougaloo built a 36-16 after the opening half by holding the Rams to 20% from the field. The Bulldogs shot 52% overall in the opening half and drilled 7-of-14 from downtown, while Mobile finished the game hitting only 1-of-12 from three-point range.

The Bulldogs also controlled the boards 34-23, led by 14 rebounds from Sylvester Collins.

Mobile closes out the regular season by hosting Spring Hill Saturday, Feb. 28 at 7 pm.
