Rams Add 4 To Recruiting Class
MOBILE, Ala—The University of Mobile men’s basketball team announced the signing of four players to round out the 2008-09 recruiting class.
Treii Pace comes to Mobile from Bishop State after prepping at Satsuma High School. Pace, a SF, played under J.D. Shelwood at Bishop. In 2006, Pace shot over 50% from the floor and averaged 9.6 points per game. He averaged 5 boards per contest.
“Treii is a very good defensive player who can guard several positions on the floor and fits our style of play,” Mobile Head Coach Joe Niland said.
Trey Golson is a 6-5 PF from South Mountain Community College in Arizona. Last season, he averaged 10 points and 7 rebounds per contest while helping his team finish 7th in the JCAA Div II National Tournament. For his efforts, Golson was named to the All-Tournament Team.
Joining Golson in the front court are a pair of big-men from Melbourne, Australia. Ben Healey is a 6-6 PF/C, while Matt Turner is a 6-9 C.
“The signing of Golson, Healey and Turner should give us strength and rebounding up front that we are desperately in need of,” Niland said. |
