Opener of Mobile Classic
MOBILE, Ala. – The University of Mobile Rams (2-0) eclipsed the century
mark for the second consecutive game en route to a 108-62 blowout victory
over Clearwater Christian College Friday night at Pharr Gymnasium in game
two of the Mobile Classic.
After falling behind for the first time all season 2-0 in the opening
minute, the Rams exploded for the next 14 points to take 14-2 advantage
just five minutes into the contest.
Junior forward Tramaine Perry led the Ram offense early on shooting 6-of-9
from the field in the first half. Perry would go on to finish the game
with 22 points, five rebounds and five assists.
Leading the Rams in the scoring column was red-hot Larry Burgess who
poured in 23 points on 9-of-11 shooting. Burgess knocked down four three
pointers on five attempts in just 18 minutes of play.
Seluynn Palmer came off the bench and knocked down 6-of-12 shots to finish
with 17 points on the evening. Starting point guard Gabe Feagin dished
out six assists while finishing with ten points of his own.
Mobile will now face Reinhardt College (1-0) tomorrow night at 7:30 p.m.
in the final game of the Mobile Classic. Reinhardt defeated Spring Hill
College 75-54 in the other game tonight.
