Men’s Basketball Wins Mobile
Classic
MOBILE, Ala. – The University of Mobile (3-0) defeated Reinhardt College
(1-1) 77-57 to win the University of Mobile Classic Saturday night at
Pharr Gymnasium. Led by Gabe Feagin's 15 points, the Rams knocked off a
formidable 2003 NAIA National Tournament qualifier.
After taking a 38-27 advantage into the locker room, the Rams came out on
fire in the second-half.
The offense connected on their first seven shots from the floor while the
defense held the Eagles to just 28 percent shooting in the second half.
Gimel Lewis scored 14 points and grabbed five rebounds but more
importantly blocked five shots denying Reinhardt any presence inside the
paint.
Junior guard Gabe Feagin led the Rams with 15 points on 5-of-7 shooting to
go along with four rebounds and three assists.
The only other two Rams to score in double figures was newcomer Jacob
Loucks and junior forward Tramaine Perry each with 10.
Mobile, now 3-0 on the season, will return to the court next Wednesday, Nov. 12
when the team travels to Montgomery, Alabama for a match-up with AUM.
