Men’s Basketball Game to begin at 8 p.m., Free Admission

MOBILE, Ala. -- The University of Mobile men’s basketball team (7-1) will play host to NAIA Division II Mid-American Nazarene on Saturday, Dec. 13 at Pharr Gymnasium.  The game time has been changed from 7:30 p.m. to an 8 p.m. tip-off to accommodate traveling plans for the visiting Pioneers and will be free of charge to the general public.

Mobile is coming off an 11-day layoff since their last game on Dec. 2.  In that game, the Rams avenged their only loss of the season when they defeated Faulkner University 66-63.

Tramaine Perry is leading the Rams at 15.5 points a game while grabbing 6.8 rebounds per contest.  Mobile’s all-time block leader Gimel Lewis continues to add to his record with 19 blocks so far in eight games this season.

At 7-1, the Rams have climbed as high as No. 13 in this week’s NAIA Division I Top 25 poll.  SUNO, ranked at No. 7 and Dillard University ranked at No. 23, join the Rams as the three schools from the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference ranked in the top 25.

The Pioneers enter Saturday’s match-up at 8-5 on the season and winners of three straight games.  They are currently ranked 17th in the NAIA Division II Top 25 poll.

After Saturday’s game, the Rams will head west to Louisiana for a pair of games against NCAA Division I teams.  On Monday, Dec. 15 the Rams will face Nicholls State University before moving onto Lafayette, La., for a match-up with Sun-Belt conference power University of Louisiana-Lafayette on Wednesday, Dec. 17.
