MOBILE, Ala. -- Larry Burgess scored 22 points and hit 5-of-7 three pointers in leading the University of Mobile (8-1) to a 98-73 win over Mid America Nazarene University Saturday night at Pharr Gymnasium.

The Rams shot 68% from behind the three-point line and shot an impressive 9-of-11 in the first half as they opened up a 43-32 halftime advantage.

After a basket by the Pioneers at the 8:57 mark of the first half tied the game up at 22, the Rams used a 7-0 run to pull away from the Pioneers.

Tramaine Perry, the team’s leading scorer at 15.3 points a game, added 14 points and was 4-of-4 from the free-throw line.

Newcomer Jacob Frasier hit for 18 points on a 6-of-12 shooting increasing his scoring average to 8.6 a game.

The Rams now hit the road as they travel to Louisiana for a pair of games against NCAA Division I competition.  The first will come on Monday, Dec. 15 against Nicholls State University at 7 p.m.  Finally, the Rams will make their way down to Lafayette for a game in the Cajun Dome against Sun-Belt power University of Louisiana-Lafayette.
