Mobile Routes Mid America 98-73
MOBILE, Ala. -- Larry Burgess scored 22
points and hit 5-of-7 three pointers in leading the University
of Mobile (8-1) to a 98-73 win over Mid America Nazarene
University Saturday night at Pharr Gymnasium.
The Rams shot 68% from behind the three-point line
and shot an impressive 9-of-11 in the first half as they opened up a 43-32
halftime advantage.
After a basket by the Pioneers at the 8:57 mark of
the first half tied the game up at 22, the Rams used a 7-0 run to pull
away from the Pioneers.
Tramaine Perry, the team’s leading scorer at 15.3
points a game, added 14 points and was 4-of-4 from the free-throw line.
Newcomer Jacob Frasier hit for 18 points on a 6-of-12
shooting increasing his scoring average to 8.6 a game.
The Rams now hit the road as they travel to Louisiana
for a pair of games against NCAA Division I competition. The first will
come on Monday, Dec. 15 against Nicholls State University at 7 p.m.
Finally, the Rams will make their way down to Lafayette for a game in the
Cajun Dome against Sun-Belt power University of Louisiana-Lafayette.
