University of Mobile wins Wynlakes Wynternational

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Led by Captain Kenny Smith of Thomasville and freshman Tommy Bell of Satsuma the University of Mobile came from six back to win the Wynlakes Wynternational Golf championship played at Wynlakes Country Club in Montgomery, Alabama.

First round leader LaGrange College finished 2nd with a 613 in front of Lindenwood University from St. Louis, Missouri with 624.

Mobile shot a first round of 309 and followed with a tournament low round of 299. Kenny Smith followed a first round 77 with one over par 73 and Tommy Bell followed a 76 with a 74 qualifying each for All-Tournament recognition. Colby Odom of St. Stephens, Alabama missed All-Tournament honors by a stroke with 76-76.
