UM Men Finish Tied For 5th
OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla-- The University of Mobile men's golf team finished in a tie for 5th at the Sleep Inn and Suites Classic hosted by Oklahoma Christian University.
The Rams shot a 314 and 313 on the opening two days before making a run with a 298 on the final day. Mobile finished in a tie with Northwood University, 73 strokes behind Oklahoma Christian, which used bookend shot totals of 293 and 295 to finish with a tournament-winning 895.
Alejandro Salcedo finished in a tie for 10th among individuals after using an opening-round 74 to finish with a 3-round total of 226. Oklahoma Christian's Bruno Buccolo won the overall individual honors after firing a 216 thanks to a pair of 70's.
Cameron Smith shot a final-round 70 to finish at 231 for Mobile, Chris Kennedy collected a 235 to place 31st, J.C. Todd finished with a 239 and Nathan Rau rounded out the group with a 3-round score of 248.
