UM Golf Team Finishes 1st in BMW Collegiate GREENVILLE, SC-- The University of Mobile men's golf team took home first place in the BMW Collegiate tournament this weekend hosted by North Greenville University. The Rams shot 605 overall to lead all teams. After the first round, UM shot 302 and held a commanding 11 stroke lead over second place Berry College. The Rams ended the tournament with a 303 team score to win by 14 strokes. The University of South Carolina- Upstate placed second shooting 619.Host North Greenville finished 3rd and Spring Hill College finished 6th with a team score of 628. Two individuals placed in the top 10.The individual scores were tight. Matt Drinkard shot 150 to finish tied for 3rd place and Juan Lega shot 151 to finish tied in 7th place. The Men will next travel to Indianapolis to compete in the Brickyard Invitational on April 17-18. -30- |
