UM Men Finish Tied for 4th in Region XIII Tournament
FT. GAINES, Fla -- The University of Mobile men's golf team finished the Region XIII tournament in Fort Gaines, Fla tied for 4th, as Berry College took home top honors
The Rams got better each round, including carding a 2nd best final round score of 293, but finished 21 strokes out of first with a 3-round total of 885. The Berry College Vikings carded a round 2 score of 283 on their way to the 6-stroke victory to earn an automatic bid to the 2007 NAIA National Championships.
Spring Hill College finished with a 3-round stroke total of 881 to take 2nd place honors in the field. Chris Kennedy turned in the top individual round for the Rams, carding a 1-under par 215 to finish 3rd and 4 strokes off the best score. Jacy Todd and Tommy Bell turned in solid rounds for the Rams, shooting 6-over par at 222.
Cameron Smith (225), Glenn Williams (228), and Braxton Gillespie (229) rounded out the scoring for Mobile.
