UM men finish tournament in third place
SAVANNAH, Ga-- The University of Mobile men's golf team finished the Wilmington Island Club Intercollegiate in third place after shooting a final round 303.
Tommy Bell paced the Rams golfers with a final round 73, following a 71 in round 1. Bell's play placed him in a tie for 4th and earned him a place on the All-Tournament team.
J. C. Todd shot a 75, Chris Kennedy fired a 76, Clay Wilson shot a 79 and Braxton Gillespie rounded out the Rams scoring with a 80 on the final round.
The tournament featured competition from Savannah College of Art and Design, Berry College, Spring Hill and Cumberland University among others.

UM Men Currently in Second at the Wilmington Island Club Intercollegiate
SAVANNAH, Ga-- The University of Mobile Men's Golf Team started its fall season at the Wilmington Island Fall Intercollegiate in Savannah, GA.
Led by J.C. Todd and Tommy Bell with even par 71's Mobile is 2nd after the first day with a 295, three strokes behind leader Berry College, 292. Berry was led by Jarod Trammell with a 1 under par 70 who was tied with Lance Williams of Thomas University and Brendon Ehlers of Edward Waters University. Other scores for Mobile were Clay Wilson with 76, Braxton Gillespie 77 and Chris Kennedy 79. Spring Hill College is10th with a 311 total, led by Pat Jenkins with a 74. The tournament concludes Tuesday. |
