Men's Golf Players

 

Adam Rice

Rice played his high school golf for Thomasville High School in Thomasville, Ala.  The son of Gary and Connie Rice, Adam hopes to one day work in an environment where he can further serve the Lord.   

 

 

Glenn Williams

A local product, Williams played on both the Jimmy Green Jr. Gulf Tour and the Southern Jr. Golf Tour.  A graduate of Davidson High School in Mobile, Williams hopes to one day own his own business.

 

 

Tommy  Bell

A graduate of Satsuma High School in Satsuma, Ala., Bell was an All-State Tournament Team selection in high school.  Bell was the 2003 Firecracker Champion and dreams of one day playing on the PGA Tour.

 

 

Adam Smith   

Smith who previously played with Northwest Shoals Community College, transfers to the University of Mobile and will be majoring in Physical Education.  A three-time All-County selection and one time All-Area golfer at Lawrence Co. High, Smith hopes to one day be a successful golf coach.

 

 

Daniel Huggins

Huggins, who played on both the AJGA and SJGA Tour, is a graduate of Satsuma High School in Satsuma, Ala.  The son of Lisa and Dennis Huggins, Daniel hopes to one day pursue a career in Corporate Law. 

 

 

Tommy Casey

Casey helped lead his team to the 4-A State Championship while golfing for Geneva High School in Geneva, Ala.  A “Player of the Year” selection four years in a row, Casey hopes to one day golf on the professional level. 

 

 

Brett Marler

The son of Bill and Sonja Marler, Brett is a graduate of Satsuma High School in Satsuma, Ala.  He is currently undecided upon a major. 

 

 

Robert Laired

Laired was invited to participate in the North-South Invitational while golfing for McGill-Toolen Catholic High School in Mobile, Ala. and was named to the All-Tournament Team at a tournament in Myrtle Beach, S.C.  Robert hopes to either manage a sports team or become a sports agent after his playing days are over. 

 

 

David Beigle

An original native of Ettingham, Ill., Beigle moved to Tallahassee, Fla., where he golfed at North Florida Christian School.  A religion major at the University of Mobile, Beigle maintains a 3.0 GPA and hopes to become a youth pastor after he leaves Mobile. 

 

 

Benjamin Odom

Odom was a 2003 Men’s All-Regional selection as well as a 2003 Men’s Individual Conference Champion at Leroy High School in St. Stephens, Ala.  The son of Frankie and Cathy Odom, Benjamin enjoys playing the piano and guitar when he’s not swinging the clubs. 

 

 

Kenneth Smith

Smith is a transfer to the University of Mobile coming over from Alabama Southern Community College.  A Thomasville, Ala. native, Smith won the District 4-A title his sophomore season at Thomasville High School.   

 

 

Matthew Drinkard

Hailing from Thomasville High School in Thomasville, Ala., Drinkard was a 2003 NAIA Men’s All-Region Team selection last season for the University of Mobile.  The son of Daryl and Susan Drinkard, Matthew will pursue a degree in Business.  Drinkard enjoys hunting, fishing and watching college football in his spare time. 

 

 

Winston Brown

A four-year letter-winner at Baylor High School in Chattanooga, Tenn., Brown was an All-State Selection in Tennessee.  An English major at the University of Mobile, Brown’s golfing highlight was winning the Brian Memorial Open.
