UM athletic events cancelled through Tuesday, Sept. 6 due
to Hurricane Katrina
MOBILE, Ala. -- Several University of Mobile athletic
events have been cancelled or postponed due to Hurricane Katrina.
Wednesday's
men's soccer match-up between no. 2 Lindsey Wilson College and no.
10 Mobile will not be played today and has been postponed to
a later date. At this time, no announcement for a make-up game has
been made.
The men's soccer team will also not be traveling to Ohio
this weekend where they were scheduled to play in the Rio Grande University
Tournament
against both Bethel College (Ind.) and Rio Grande University.
Next weekend's 2005 O'Charley's Futbol
Festival will go on as scheduled as Mobile will face Oklahoma Baptist
on Friday, Sept. 9 and Holy Names University on Saturday, Sept. 10 at
home.
This
weekend's Spring Hill Volleyball Tournament has also been cancelled.
It was to mark the first volleyball match in school history. Also,
next Tuesday's match against conference foe, Spring Hill College has
also
been cancelled.
More announcements will be made in the next few days.
