Rams opens season with Covenant College

MOBILE, Ala. -- Number 14th-ranked University of Mobile (0-0) opens their 2004 campaign on Saturday, Sept. 4 when the team travels to Lookout Mountain, Ga., for a match-up against Covenant College.

The Rams, who defeated Covenant 3-2 last season at home in overtime, will square off against the Scotts at 1 p.m. before moving on to Dayton, Tenn., for a game with Bryan College on Monday, Sept. 6 at 4 p.m.

In their only exhibition game thus far, the Rams fell to NCAA Division I Top 25-ranked University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) 3-1 last week. Newcomer, Bjorn Asbjornsson scored his first goal as a Ram when a shot by Edgar Morales was partially saved by the Blazer goalkeeper before being redirected back into the goal by Asbjornsson.

The team will leave for Georgia on Friday.
