AUM defeats Oklahoma Baptist; Mobile and Holy Names fight to 0-0 tie

MOBILE, Ala. -- The University of Mobile men's soccer team (0-0-2) went to double overtime for the second consecutive game and again settled for a tie as Mobile and Holy Names University fought to a 0-0 tie in the final game of the 2005 O'Charley's Futbol Festival.

In the first game of the day, Auburn University-Montgomery won their second game of the tournament after defeating Oklahoma Baptist University, 3-0.

The Senators scored less than 30 seconds into the match, added one more just before the half and then a final goal in the second half for the 3-0 victory.

In the second game of the night, Mobile was forced to play the majority of the match a man down after sophomore, foward, Jason Providence drew his second yellow card of the match early in the game.

The Rams, who were forced to play with just 10 players, withstood a late shooting fury by the Hawks as Mobile goalkeeper Tommy Sarkineen saved six shots in the second half.

Mobile will next be in action on Friday, Sept. 16 against no. 1 Lindenwood University at 5 p.m. in the Columbia College Tournament in Columbia, Missouri.
