No. 1 Rio Grande holds off Mobile, 1-0 in the final game of the O'Charley's Futbol Festival

MOBILE, Ala. -- Mobile had to score in the 83rd minute last night to pull out a dramatic, 1-0 victory over Thomas University, however the Rams were unable to find that magic tonight, as Mobile lost to No. 1 Rio Grande, 1-0 in the final game of the O'Charley's Futbol Festival played on the University of Mobile campus in Mobile, Alabama.

Rio Grande took the lead in the 20th minute on a goal from Ben Hughes off of a Redman corner kick.  The goal, which was the game-winner, was Hughes' second goal of the tournament.

With rain falling the entire first half, Mobile slipped and slid their way out a couple of first half scoring chances.  In the second half, the Redman defense was too tight and allowed Mobile to just get three shots on goal.

Rio Grande remains perfect on the seaon at 6-0-0 and Mobile falls to 2-1-1, picking up their first loss of the season.

Mobile defeated Thomas, 1-0, in the first night of the O'Charley's Futbol Festival.
