Rams drop first game of season, 2-0 to no. 7 Lindenwood University
COLUMBIA, MO -- The no. 14-ranked University of Mobile men’s soccer team (0-1-2) lost their first game of the season 2-0 to no. 7 Lindenwood University Friday night in the opening game of the Columbia College Soccer Classic.
In the night's other game, no. 15 Grand View defeated no. 12-ranked and host school, Columbia College, also by a score of 2-0.
The Rams, who tied their first two games of the season last weekend in the 2005 O'Charley's Futbol Festival at home, scheduled this trip just two weeks ago after having to cancel to a previously scheduled trip to Rio Grande University due to Hurricane Katrina.
Mobile returns to action on Saturday, Sept. 17 to face Columbia College at 7 p.m. Grand View will face Lindenwood in the first game at 5 p.m. Both games will be played at the R. Marvin Owens Soccer Stadium.
