Rams fall hard at Lindsey Wilson, 8-1
COLUMBIA, Kentucky -- Having to play their third game in five days and
having been on the road for over a week due to Hurricane Ivan, the University
of Mobile (4-2-1) dropped just their second match of the season, 8-1,
to Lindsey Wilson College, Tuesday night in Columbia, Kentucky.
The game, originally scheduled for Wednesday night in Mobile, was moved
to Columbia, due to the effects of Hurricane Ivan.
Lindsey Wilson College freshman Anthony Wolfe scored a career-high four
goals as the Blue Raiders' improved to 6-1-1 on the season.
The Blue Raiders never trailed in the match, taking a 1-0 lead less
than 10 minutes into the game.
Junior and Mobile native Ruben Risco scored the only goal for Mobile
in the 80th minute on a direct free kick from 35 yards out.
Mobile falls to 4-2-1 on the season and will next be in action at home
on Saturday, Sept. 25 at 8 p.m. against Biola University.
